MHT CET 2026 Exam LIVE: PCM shift 1 paper begins for 4.79 lakh; question paper analysis, marking scheme

According to the State Cell’s data, 4,64,262 students had registered for last year’s MHT CET PCM entrance exam. This year, the total registrations have risen to 4,79,332, reflecting an increase of 15,070 candidates.

The exam-day guidelines for MHT CET 2026 exams are given below: 

• Students must report to the exam centre according to the time specified on their admit card. 
• Candidates must carry their original ID proof, as photocopies or attested copies will not be accepted for entry into the exam hall. 
• Those requiring a scribe or additional time must bring their original Disability Certificate or UDID Card for verification. 
• At the exam centre, candidates’ identities will be confirmed through fingerprint scanning and a photograph capture.

The Maharashtra State CET Cell will conduct the MHT CET PCM 2026 from April 11 to 20 in dual shifts.

The MHT CET 2026 PCM paper shift 1 will start from 9 am and will continue until 12 noon.

The Maharashtra State CET cell will conduct the MHT CET 2026 exam for PCM students in two shifts today. The list of required documents at MHT CET 2026 exam centres is given below:

According to the exam pattern, the MHT CET 2026 question paper will consist of 150 questions carrying a total of 200 marks. There is no negative marking, and all questions will be based on the Maharashtra State Board syllabus for Classes 11 and 12.

The State Cell will conduct the MHT CET PCM 2026 Phase 2 exams from May 14 to 16. Students are required to appear for the Phase 1 entrance exam, while the Phase 2 test is optional.

The MHT CET 2026 exam for PCM paper will be held in dual shifts. The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon shift will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.

MHT CET PCM 2026 exam is a state-level entrance test in Maharashtra conducted for admission to undergraduate courses such as engineering (BE and BTech), pharmacy, and planning. It is accepted by various government and private colleges, mainly for candidates from Maharashtra, with admissions granted based on the PCM score.

The computer-based MHT CET 2026 exam for the PCM group will be conducted across 198 examination centres spread over 36 districts in the state.

State cell will conduct the MHT CET 2026 PCM exam from today till April 20 in two shifts.

MHT CET 2026 exam will have a total duration of 180 minutes and will be conducted in two parts. The first 90 minutes will be dedicated to Physics and Chemistry, and this section will automatically submit once the time is over. After that, the Mathematics section will begin, with a separate 90-minute timer starting immediately.

• On the homepage, click on MHT CET 2026 Admit Card or Hall Ticket Link under the PCM group.
• A new window will open.
• Enter login details such as email ID and password or application number and date of birth.
• Press the submit button.
• MHT CET 2026 PCM admit card will appear on the screen.
